About Michaela

After spending 15 years of playing at nearly every level of hockey, combined with her 9 years of coaching, Michaela Boyle brings knowledge, experience and passion to the ice. Her main focuses lie in the areas of stick handling, shooting and the craft of goal scoring. Michaela aims to make sessions intense, detail-oriented and fun. Building relationships with athletes and helping guide them through their career is something Michaela does with ease.

Michaela grew up north of Boston in Reading, Massachusetts. Growing up in Reading, Michaela played her youth hockey years there as well as with the former Middlesex Islanders girls program. After spending two years as a varsity hockey player at Austin Preparatory school, Michaela transitioned to the Boston Shamrocks full season under 19 team at age 14. Michaela committed to Clarkson University as a sophomore and ultimately chose to return to Reading Memorial High School to finish her youth hockey career. After setting record for most goals in a single season (49) in just 21 games she graduated and pursued her collegiate career at Clarkson.

At Clarkson, Michaela played as a freshman and eventually helped her team to a National Championship during the 2017-2018 season.  As a sophomore Michaela suffered a season ending shoulder injury and ultimately decided to transfer and enroll at Robert Morris University in the fall of 2019. In her two years at Robert Morris she accumulated 32 goals and 17 assists for 49 points. Most notably, she finished 8th in the country in 2019-2020 season with 22 goals. Additionally, she record the fastest natural hattrick in program history (2:43). Unfortunately, Robert Morris terminated its' mens and women's hockey programs leading up to her senior year. From there, she made the decision to head back home to Boston where she played for Boston College and pursued her masters degree in Sports Administration.

After her time at Boston College, Michaela signed a one year contract with the former Buffalo Beauts in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). After the creation of the PWHL, Michaela ultimately decided to retire and follow her dream of coaching.

In 2023 Michaela took over Revolution Elite Hockey which is a girls spring and summer team. Using her vast knowledge of the game and bringing girls from all over the Unites States and Canada together to play Michaela has now expanded from three teams in 2023 to six for the 2024 season. Hockey has the amazing ability to make friendships between players miles and even countries apart. Revolution Elite Hockey Club aims to provide young girls a strong program to play for with strong female coaches to be role models for young girls. Growing up Michaela was fortunate enough to have amazing role models to look up to and I now have the opportunity to give back to the young girls and inspire them to be everything they dream too.

Michaela now works as the Assistant Coach at the Breck School, and on ice skills coach at Breakaway Academy and works for OS Hockey, all located in Minnesota.

What parents say about lessons with Michaela:

"My daughters come off the ice each time after training with Michaela with a little bit of sweat and a lot of smile. They have shown huge strides in their overall stickhandling and goal scoring confidence through consistent training sessions with Michaela. Her on-ice training integrates high -level shooting and stickhandling techniques while at the same time, simplifying the skill and making each session a fun and enjoyable experience.."

My daughter loves Michaela’s fast-paced and supportive hockey training. She appreciates being pushed hard and looks forward to each session because she can see the results. My daughter’s shooting and stick-handling has continued to advance based on this training. Michaela demonstrates and explains each drill in a way that kids quickly learn the proper techniques. This training has been invaluable for my hockey player

Without a doubt, I recommend Coach Michaela Boyle to any young hockey player!  She is not only a good coach related to skills but a great role model and a leader. She has very strong ability to watch and breakdown each players strengths and weaknesses. Then she is able to correct or reinforce as needed. Her experience playing at the highest level in women’s hockey allows her to coach athletes and push them to become elite athletes. Finally, she does a great job pushing kids out of their comfort zone to get better. I highly recommend her for group or individual training.
